Houston- The transportation Department plans to give Continental Airlines antitrust immunity to join an alliance of other carriers , including United Airlines .
the department said Tuesday that it also proposed a new joint venture among Continental and three oter members of the Star allinance to set prices and schedules on interational service . The other airlines are United , Lufthansa and Canada.
