A passerby found the body of a man Sunday less than 50 yards from the east Tulsa store he is suspected of robbing, authorities said.
The man was discovered in an alley behind Drug Warehouse. The man matched the suspect description from a robbery at the store about 4:15 p.m. Saturday, police said. The robber took three bottles of oxycodone, a painkiller.
"We’re not sure what the cause of death is,” police Cpl. Gene Watkins said.
Officers also don’t know whether the suspect died immediately after the robbery or whether he returned to the scene. The man’s name hasn’t been released.
